Smiths Prosthetic Deadener

Smiths Prosthetic Deadener is the key gelling agent to use with Platsil Gel 10. If you are creating a prosthetic piece and want to soften it so that it moves like skin, you will need to add Smiths Deadener up to 200% addition (a typical amount of Deadener for a facial prosthetic is 175%).

Please note that when using Smiths Deadener the material becomes a sticky gel and must be encapsulated before casting; for this reason we recommend using Super Baldiez, Baldiez or Platsil Gel 10 dabbed into the mould.
